I run three uke groups in town – Henley (1st & 3rd Tuesdays), Bowden (2nd & 4th Weds) & Kensington (2nd & 4th Weds) – all 7pm – chance for locals to get together & play.
I devised & directed a Uke Stage Show last August ‘Summer Holiday’ at Singing Gallery & Promethean .
I’m planning a uke stage roadshow for this May / June. I know you have your own busy programme, but if you want to fit our show in we could bring it to you.
Theme is ‘Old Time Music Hall’ with some singalong numbers for audience – also, if local ukers want to be in the show we could feature a few of their numbers.
Basic deal (to be negotiated) would be: we supply the show / locals supply the venue & publicity – we split door takings 50/50 with you.
The aim is to cover costs, meet each other & have a good time – not to make money.
We have bookings for City, Mt Barker, McLaren Vale – could do one other.
